Bishkek, Zpresskg.com – On July 28, President of Kyrgyzstan Roza Otunbayeva met with the Head of the Director of the European Union for Central Asia, Eastern Europe and South Caucasus, Gunnar Wiegand.
 
According to the press service of the interim government, EU Ambassador to Kyrgyzstan Chantal Ebberekt, coordinator of the EU's Director for Central Asia, Eastern Europe and South Caucasus Carlos Freitas da Silva have participated in the meeting.

G. Wiegand has assured the president R.Otunbayeva  that the European Union will provide full support and assistance in the efforts aimed at stabilizing the situation in the country and the development of democratic principles in the country.
During the conversation the sides exchanged views on further development of cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and the EU, as well as other issues of mutual interest.
